THE CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC SOCIETY "DANGUBICE" FROM KUTEREVO (KUD DANGUBICE KUTEREVO)

The Society was formed on the 8th of October, 2011, with a common goal of preserving the local Kuterevo customs and traditions, as well as the original music and dances of the Kuterevo area. The Society is focused on preserving it's local Kuterevo dialect, playing of the original tamburiza-dangubica instrument and the Kuterevo dialect. They were named after the Kuterevo's tamburitza called "Kuterevka" or "Dangubica". The instrument is still being made in Kuterevo only, by the Šporčić family, who have been involved in the making of Dangubica for decades by now. Around 50 members of the family have since been involved in the production of the famous instrument.

The CAS operates in several formats, such as: drama groups, folklore group dancing, a traditional choir, as well as the Dangubaška tamburitza group performing live concerts and taking part in various perfomances.

"We played and took part of various events and festivals. Some of the most notable were: "The Kuterevo Evening" in Zagreb, The annual Saint Elijah Feast in Sinac, the 11th international folklore event titled "The Old Chest Open", the 47th Vinkovci Autumn Festival, "The 5 Evening Songs of Folklore And Old Customs" in Zemunik, the 9th Angel Folklore Festival in Viduševac, as well as the 14th and 15th LIKA-IN Festival in Otočac, and many other fun events..."
